SPS Remembers Jean
Jean died peacefully in the Churchill Hospital at 06:10 on Saturday 20 August.
Jean who sang in the choir during the 1990′s was always willing fill the gap if we were short of a conductor. There were times when this was quite a commitment and was a great help to the choir. She was also a committee member, Jean plaed a very active part in all its works.
She will be cremated at a non-religious (Humanist) ceremony to be held at the Oxford Crematorium at 11:30hr Thursday 01 September.
SPS Remembers Marjorie Richman
Marjorie Richman a choir member for years died 9th of August, 2011. Marjorie sang with the choir for years and since then has been very generous in her donations. Those that didn’t know her when she sang with the choir, may remembered as being a member of the audience who came with Rita Harris.
The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, 24th August, 2pm at St.Mary’s Church, Farnham Royal followed by internment at Parkside Cemetery at 3.15pm. There will then be an informal reception in Farnham Royal Village Hall, Farnham Lane from 4pm to 6pm.
Those wishing to attend please advise Jill Taylor on 01420 82451 – between 2.30pm & 5.30pm by Thursday 18th August. Marjorie would have preferred that anyone attending should not give priority to black!

July Anniversaires to Celebrate!!
Stoke Poges Singers 40th Anniversary Celebration
and
Graham Roitt’s 10th year of Conducting.
2nd July, 2011 19:00 to 23:00 – Windsor – £34
Stoke Poges Singers are celebrating both events with a River Boat Shuffle from Windsor beginning at 7 and will tour around for 4 hours. This Special event is for members, past members, friends and supporters of the Choir with special invite to our member’s friends and family who are most welcome to join the festivities to help the party go with a swing!
The trip starts from Windsor at 7pm and lasts for 4 hours. It includes a BBQ and music with a DJ. This SPECIAL occasion may not be repeated for another 10 years! Hence the ticket price of £34.

Singing Away for the Day
St Peter’s Church in Selsey

“Stoke Poges Singers Away Day on 9th July where we will be visiting Selsey to perform our summer concert at St Peter’s Church. We are arranging coach transport for this day and the timings will be approx 10:00 a.m. departure and a return to Stoke Poges by around 10:00 p.m. A supper will be provided prior to our departure from Selsey.
In order to make the arrangements, could you please let Sue Tattersall know as soon as possible E-mail Sue Tattersal also advising if you will want additional coach seats for, say; family/partner or others.
