Charities We Support

Proceeds from all concerts go to charity. The charities are nominated by members of the choir for each concert.

Here are the details of some of our more recent donations:

2011

Winter

 Gilbert & Sullivan’s “Trial by Jury” & Jerome Kern & Oscar Hammerstein II’s excerpts from “Showboat”.  About £900 raised for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

Come and Sing Messiah & Messiah concerts. £487 raised for ‘Iain Rennie at Home’ Hospice.

2010

Winter

“Capt Noah & Friends” concert raised £565 for ‘Save a Child’s Heart’

“The Armed Man” concert raised £764.32 for ‘Help for Heroes’

2009

Christmas

The Carol concert raised £420 for the MS Society

“Stage & Screen”  raised £900.00 for WAMDSAD

Vivaldi “Gloria” raised the following amounts:

2008

Spring

Haydn’s “Creation” concert raised £766 for the Thames Valley and Chilterns Air Ambulance.

Summer

The “Transport of Delight” concert raised £805 for the South Buckinghamshire Branch of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Autumn

The Gilbert and Sullivan “Iolanthe” concert raised £890 for the Buckinghamshire and Mid Thames Relate Centre.

Christmas

The “Christmas Music” concert raised £650 for the Berkshire County Blind Society.

2007

Summer

The “Teddy Bears’ Picnic” concert raised £1020 towards a multi-sensory suite at Arbour Vale School.

Autumn

The “Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat” concert raised £1400 for Slough Homeless Our Concern.
